It was such a nice feeling finishing French last Friday! The final wasn't as bad as the final for either Chinese or Spanish, which was such a relief...i mean, it wasn't a piece of cake, but at least I didn't have the "Execution Day" song (by the New Pornographers) in my head during it (like I did for Chinese). This is the first time since November that I haven't had to think about studying! I will be taking the second part of french through distance-ed later this summer.
I watched some great things this past week:
Greg and I won passes to see the Get Smart movie with Steve Carral and Anne Hathaway, and were pleasantly surprised! It was definitely the best movie i've seen all year - and the only one I haven't had to pay for!
Both of the episodes (409, the continuation of The Library and 410 which was something to do with the Doctor on some kind of cruise without Donna) that I watched of Doctor Who were super scary!!! I haven't yet seen the last 2 episode of BSG so I can't comment on those, but I will probably do so tomorrow or so. We rented 4 movies tonight and 2 of them are due tomorrow so I have lots to watch.
I am been really enjoying listeningthe self-titled album by This is Ivy League...what a great summery album. Reminds me of Jan and Dean.
So, what is everyone up to these days? Watch anything good? I am going to join one of those dvd-by-mail things soon and would love some recommendations.
Benefit
I watch alot of movies, or did. The package changed and I lost my channels at the apartment I'm in.
I'm always nervous about recommending movies in case people hate them.
What kind of movies are you looking for? Do you prefer comedies, dramas, horror?

I really don't like horrors or very many thrillers. I like pretty much any sci-fi or fantasy, even if they are really bad and cheesy.. I like comedies best, though. I do watch some historical dramas and such, but usually i find them boring, unless i am in the right mood. i don't like movies with a lot of pointless sex and violence, nor movies with everybody cheating on each other. i like action movies like the Bourne movies, and also the Ocean's movies.
I don't know if that narrows it down for you?
any recommendations would be great!
2It sounds like a great week. What a relief for you.
I've been busy re-doing the house.... it needs it!
3I have been thinking for you, but I do get nervous suggesting movies, because I'm afraid people will hate them.
Also, while trying to think about good comedies, I realised that REALLY good comedies are becoming rare.
Obviously I don't know who you like, or what you've seen, but I will throw a couple out there. These are mostly comedy based, some drama and they are all over the board, there is no rhyme nor reason to the list.
Evening (more drama, but I liked the back story)
Little Miss Sunshine
Family Stone
Failure To Launch
The Holiday
Wedding Crashers
The Eulogy
Almost Famous
Rory OShea Was Here (Sometimes called Inside, I'm Dancing)
...
How old can I go?
